WHEN DO ONLINE REGISTRATIONS CLOSE?

Online entries close at 12noon on Thursday 14th November 2019, after this time entries can only be taken in person at event base on the morning of the event, and will incur a late fee.

I HAVE ALREADY ENTERED BUT WANT TO CHANGE MY EVENT/DISTANCE OPTION

If you would like to change your event option it is advised to do so before event day, please email Registrations with your name, current distance and the distance you would like to change to. Otherwise it is possible to make changes at Registration on the day.

Please note; upgrading to a longer distance will incur additional charges.

I AM INJURED AND CANNOT DO THE EVENT, WHAT CAN I DO?

Get in touch with us at least 7 days before your event, we can create a credit of your entry fee (less a $15 admin fee) that can be used towards any Total Sport event in the next 12 months. If you can't make an event, email Registrations who will arrange this for you.

I PLAN ON WALKING MOST OF THE COURSE, AND JOGGING SOME BITS WHEN I FEEL GOOD - DO I ENTER AS A WALKER OR RUNNER?

You enter as a runner. The walking category is for people that are going to walk 100% of the course, and these people want to gauge themselves against other people that walk only.

CAN I WALK THE SUPER LONG (MARATHON) EVENT?

No, the Super Long Marathon 42km event is a Run Only event with cut off times that will be enforced on the day. Please see Course Information page for details of these cut offs. All other distances are available as a Walk option.

DO I NEED MANDATORY EQUIPMENT?

ALL participants (except our Trail Tigers) are required to have a head torch for some dark tunnel fun.

Participants entered into the Super Long (Marathon) event are required to carry the following compulsory equipment at all times:

  • Base Layer Long Top Wool/Polypropylene

  • Seam Sealed Waterproof Jacket

  • Thermal Hat (Buff Accepted)

  • Thermal Gloves

  • Survival Bag/Blanket

  • Head Lamp

  • Personal Medication (if required)

The race director will conduct spot checks on the start line and will strictly enforce the mandatory equipment rule. Non-compliance will result in disqualification or participants will be transferred to a shorter distance, there will be no exceptions. This is for safety reasons due to the isolated and exposed nature of the course.

WHERE AND WHEN IS THE PRIZE GIVING HAPPENING?

Prize giving will take place at the event base (Dickey Flat) at 1.30pm. Join us as we crown the NZ National Trail Running Champs and give out trophies to the over-all race winners, male and female, for each of the race option.

See Prize Giving section on Event Info page for more information.

IS THERE ANYWHERE TO LEAVE MY STUFF WHILE I'M RUNNING?

Yes! The will be a Gear Tent storage at event base where we will tag your bag eo and keep it dry for your return!

So feel free to bring some extra layers or a change of clothes so you are comfortable once you've finished.
